SBC Summit Americas Returns June 10-11

Broward County Convention Center

BROWARD COUNTY, FL — Tribal nations’ role in shaping U.S. gaming policy will be among the central topics when SBC Summit Americas convenes June 10-11 at the Broward County Convention Center, with a lineup that also includes executives from Bet365 and DraftKings Predictions and former U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy.

A session titled “From Regulation to Representation: Giving Tribes a Voice in the Future of U.S. Gaming” will feature Joe Nayquonabe (CEO, Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort), Jacob Coin (VP Advisor, Tribal Council), and Sheila Morago (CEO, Trilogy Group). The panel will address how tribal nations are approaching questions of sovereignty and policy influence amid the expansion of prediction markets and sweepstakes-style platforms.

The tribal discussion sits within a broader conference program covering sports betting and casino, affiliation, leadership, player protection, and regulation, spread across six stages that alternate between North American and Latin American market topics over the two days.

“Player expectations have evolved in ways I don’t think anyone in the industry truly expected,” said Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC. “A great product is no longer enough. You have to be an entertainment platform, a media brand, even a financial service, all at once.”

“The range of conversations happening across the Leaders Stage shows just how broad the industry has become,” Sojmark added. “That gives us the opportunity to bring together voices from both inside and outside gaming, and this year’s lineup includes everyone from executives at some of the region’s biggest operators to an actual Kennedy.”

Closely related to the tribal session is “The Current State of Prediction Markets in the U.S.,” which will look at how prediction markets sit between financial trading and sports betting, and the regulatory questions their growth has raised. Panelists include Jeanine Hightower Sellitto (Senior Vice President & General Manager, DraftKings Predictions), Alex Kane (CEO, Sporttrade), and Joshua B. Sterling (Partner, Milbank), who are expected to debate whether prediction markets represent an evolution in gaming or a challenge to existing regulatory frameworks.

On the Latin American side, “Regulator Rumble: The Future of LatAm” will examine the tension between digital market growth and regulatory clarity in the region. Speakers include Juan Carlos Santaella Marchán (Executive Director, Puerto Rico Gaming Commission), Fabio Macorin (Deputy Secretary, Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, Brazil’s Ministry of Finance), and Jaime Rivera Emmanuelli (Member, Saiber LLC / Ex-Regulator). The discussion will focus on coordination between regulators and operators across jurisdictions.

Other sessions will turn to customer engagement, marketing, and technology. A fireside chat titled “Winning Is Everything” will feature Bet365 CMO Stephanie De Flora discussing the company’s North American expansion and its approach to localized marketing. A keynote, “Unlocking AI to Drive Growth,” will feature David Edelman, former CMO of Aetna, on the use of AI for personalization and automation in customer engagement, including considerations around responsible deployment.

Player protection and public health will be addressed in a keynote titled “Building a Public Health Response to Gambling Harm.” Former U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy will appear alongside industry and medical representatives to discuss prevention, treatment, education, and the role of healthcare systems as sports betting and online gaming expand in the U.S.

Other executives scheduled to appear across the conference tracks include Andrew Cochrane (COO, Soft2Bet), Ian Botts (CTO, Fanatics Betting & Gaming), Kip Levin (CEO, Geocomply), Manuel Stan (CEO, Catena Media), Marco Emilio Hincapie (President, Coljuegos), Macario Gallegos (SVP & Chief Information Officer, Seminole Hard Rock), and Stuart Simms (Group CEO, FairPlay Sports Media), among others.

SBC Summit Americas runs June 9-11, 2026, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
