FUNNER, CA – Harrah’s Resort Southern California has opened Tierra y Mar, a Baja-inspired restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Salt & Fin. The venue anchors its menu with coastal Mexican flavors and pairs the dining room with a tequila-focused bar and a private dining room.

The 7,245-square-foot, 153-seat restaurant, designed by JCJ Architecture, draws on Baja coastal aesthetics and mid-century Mexican architecture, incorporating Cycladic and Moorish design elements. The entry features wood columns and layered archways, and the interior includes handcrafted wood ceiling beams, tropical plantings, natural stone, and a mosaic tile pathway that runs from the bar to the main dining room.
Chef Bryan Texis’s menu draws on Baja California and other Mexican regional cuisines, with dishes including “Funner” Beef Birria, Camarones al Diablo, and Pescado al Talla, alongside contemporary preparations of traditional ingredients.
The bar stocks more than 35 tequilas and mezcals under a chandelier centerpiece. A private dining room, accessed through a breeze block wall, seats up to 14 guests and features rope and bead-and-ball privacy screens. The restaurant also includes booths and alcoves for smaller groups.

The debut of Tierra y Mar marks the official closure of the former Salt & Fin and ‘ritas Cantina venues, effectively consolidating the resort’s dining footprint into a single premier Mexican-inspired destination. Tierra y Mar will operate seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays.
