JACKSON, CA – The Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians has donated $15,000 to the Amador Community Foundation’s annual Giving Tuesday campaign, helping ensure local non-profit organizations receive critical support during the holiday season.
“We are so honored to have the opportunity to support this incredible campaign that has been ongoing for 10 years and has benefited countless local non-profits doing amazing work in Amador County,” said Crystal Myers, CEO of Jackson Rancheria. “The tribe is deeply committed to strengthening the community where we live and work, and Giving Tuesday is a powerful way to make a lasting difference for local families and organizations.”
The Amador Community Foundation’s Giving Tuesday initiative has become one of the county’s most impactful fundraising traditions. Last year, they raised $708,394, and in the previous 10 years, the Amador Community Foundation has raised more than $3.5 million for local charities.
This year’s $15,000 contribution continues the tribe’s long-standing tradition of philanthropy in Amador County, where Jackson Rancheria has provided millions of dollars in charitable support for schools, health programs, cultural initiatives, and community services.
“We encourage others to take part in Giving Tuesday and help make a positive impact together,” said Myers.
