San Juan Southern Paiute Names Circa Sports as AZ Operator

PHOENIX, AZ – The San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe has designated Circa Sports Arizona LLC as its event wagering operator, following the Arizona Department of Gaming’s (ADG) allocation of one of the state’s tribal-reserved event wagering licenses. The allocation was made under Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) § 5-1304 and Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R19-4-105 and 106.

Under Arizona’s 2021 sports betting law, up to 10 event wagering licenses are reserved for Arizona tribes and 10 for Arizona sports franchises. Effective July 27, 2026, Circa Sports Arizona LLC — as the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe’s designee — is approved to offer sports betting and event wagering in Arizona. The ADG will work with the licensee on operational launch.

The ADG opened an application window for event wagering licenses between June 26 and July 10, 2026, with at least one license reserved for Arizona tribes and at least one reserved for Arizona sports franchises, as defined in A.R.S. § 5-1301(7).

Since Arizona legalized sports betting and event wagering in 2021, wagers have totaled $35.3 billion, generating approximately $190.6 million in event wagering privilege fees for the state.
