LAWTON, OK – Apache Casino Hotel will launch its third annual Apache Giving Tree holiday gift campaign Nov. 6, with a goal of providing gifts to 400 local children this year.

The campaign, themed “Crafting Miracles to Bring Joy,” will kick off from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Event Center lobby with complimentary hot chocolate, cookies, children’s coloring activities and holiday story time with “Jeri Christmas” from KLAW radio. Children will also receive a complimentary holiday stocking while supplies last.

Last year, the Apache Giving Tree set a goal of providing 120 gifts and ultimately distributed 342 through donations from individuals, community members and local businesses. This year, Apache Casino Hotel also hopes to fill at least two donation bins benefiting Family Promise of Lawton and Geronimo’s Animal Shelter.

“Whether someone gives one gift or a business supports several children, every contribution matters. We are grateful for the generosity of our community, local businesses and community partners, including Family Promise of Lawton and Geronimo’s Animal Shelter,” said Brian Gooden, General Manager of Apache Casino Hotel. “We hope this year’s campaign brings smiles, excitement and lasting holiday memories to children and families, while extending support to those who need it most.”

Applications are being accepted through Nov. 20 for families with children ages 16 and younger. Families may apply at the Apache Casino Hotel Player’s Club, where approved gift requests will be placed as tickets on the Apache Giving Tree.

Donors can select a ticket from the tree, located on the first level of Apache Casino Hotel in the Event Center lobby, register their selection at the Player’s Club and purchase the requested gift. Gifts should remain unwrapped and be returned to the Player’s Club by Dec. 11.
