ATMORE, AL – The Poarch Creek Indians, in collaboration with Wind Creek Hospitality, have launched a community donation drive to collect essential relief supplies for families and communities impacted by Hurricane Isaias in Alabama and Florida.
As part of the tribe’s ongoing commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis, a temporary collection center has been established in the east parking lot at Wind Creek Atmore, located at 303 Poarch Road in Atmore. The public is encouraged to donate needed supplies daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Requested donations include: non-perishable food items, bottled water, baby supplies, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, and tarps. All donated items will be delivered to affected areas in Alabama and Florida to help provide relief to families recovering from the storm.
“We are so blessed to live in a caring, giving community like Atmore,” said Stephanie Bryan, Poarch Creek Tribal Chair and CEO. “Hurricane Isaias has had a devastating impact on so many people’s lives and as always, folks here want to help. Any size donation made to the collection center we have set up at Wind Creek Atmore will help provide essential supplies to those trying to recover from the storm. I am so proud that our community is known for its compassion for others, and it is at times like these when the help we give can make a real difference.”
