NIAGARA FALLS, NY – Seneca Resorts & Casinos has announced that work is beginning on a new $8.9 million Seneca Sports Lounge on the resort’s west concourse. The new space will include a bar with seating for up to 21 people, a sportsbook lounge with club lounge chairs and a walk-up bar, a sportsbook betting counter and betting kiosks, and a 115-seat restaurant area. The lounge will also feature a 98-ft. video wall and additional video displays throughout the space.
“We are building on the energy and excitement that Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is known for and making it even bigger and bolder,” said Kevin Nephew, Seneca Resorts & Casinos President & CEO. “We all know what game-day energy feels like. Our new Seneca Sports Lounge will bring that energy every day, making it clear to guests that something exciting is happening in every corner of the resort.”

The new Seneca Sports Lounge will be located near the Bear’s Den Showroom, in the space formerly occupied by Blues Burger Bar and the 8 Clans gift shop. The design of the new space will feature many sports-themed elements, including memorabilia display cases, burned-in team logos on the dining table tops, sports-themed ceiling, column and seat coverings, and lacrosse-inspired design elements, paying homage to the Haudenosaunee’s role in introducing the Creator’s Game to the world. Work is targeted for completion in May 2027.
“This new Seneca Sports Lounge will be a sports fan’s paradise,” said Steve McCarthy, VP of Operations, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. “It will be more than a great place to watch a game. It will be a destination exploding with stadium-level excitement and camaraderie, delicious food, great drinks, and can’t-miss moments.”

Work on the Seneca Sports Lounge is beginning as Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino undertakes a $47 million renovation of 594 rooms and suites across 22 floors of its 26-story hotel tower. The hotel renovation will be completed in three-floor phases, with completion expected in December 2027.
Seneca Resorts & Casinos is also investing in renovations at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, where a $2.7 million renovation of Seneca Cafe was completed earlier this year. A $5.8 million upgrade to the Thunder Mountain Buffet is expected to be completed in November.
“From our hotels and gaming floors to our restaurants and amenities, we are reimagining and elevating the guest experience at all three of our properties,” said Nephew. “We’re beyond excited for what this new chapter holds.”
