MAYETTA, KS – The Class 2 Gathering (C2G) Charity Golf Tournament successfully raised $129,300 in support of the Boys & Girls Club of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. Held as the official kickoff to the 2026 C2G conference, the annual tournament brought together industry leaders, partners, and community supporters for a day of friendly competition and philanthropy at Prairie Band Casino & Resort Firekeeper Golf Course.
The tournament included opportunities for golfers to win up to $15,000, a Dormie Network Club Stay & Play Package, and an all-expense paid trip to Pebble Beach Golf Course. The evening ended with the tournament results announced at the C2G Launch Party. Both golfers and attendees could participate in a silent auction, 50/50 contest, and raffle that raised additional funds for the charity. Party attendees were treated to performances by the Little Soldiers Drum Group, singers, dancers and a fireworks display.
“We are incredibly proud to support the Boys & Girls Club and the vital work they do every day,” said Ashley Bergquist, C2G Committee Co-Chair. “This tournament is not only a great way to launch the Class 2 Gathering, but also an opportunity to give back and invest in the future of our communities, providing a supportive environment for our youth and our future.”
The Class 2 Gathering conference, which officially follows the tournament, brings together gaming professionals and leaders from across the tribal gaming industry to share insights, foster partnerships, and celebrate innovation within Class II gaming operations. Over 40 casinos and 70 sponsors, both nationally and internationally, were represented at the conference. In addition to the funds raised for the Boys & Girls Club, C2G donated $1,000 to Veterans in Gaming. The organization is dedicated to raising awareness for veterans working within the gaming industry.
The next Class 2 Gathering is scheduled for June 7 – 9, 2027, at Prairie Band Casino & Resort in Mayetta, KS.
