REDDING, CA – The Redding Rancheria hosted Scott Davis, Acting Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs with the U.S. Department of the Interior, during his official visit to the Redding area this week.

During his visit, Assistant Secretary Davis toured several key Redding Rancheria facilities, including the future Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center site and I-5 Casino Resort project site. His visit included meetings with tribal leadership and local community partners.

In addition to project and facility tours, Assistant Secretary Davis explored significant cultural and community landmarks, including Turtle Bay Exploration Park, the historic Cascade Theatre, and the Redding Rodeo Grounds, which highlighted the tribe’s deep ties to the region and its commitment to cultural preservation and community collaboration.

The Redding Rancheria expressed appreciation for Assistant Secretary Davis’s visit, noting its significance in ongoing efforts to work with tribal nations on sovereignty, economic development, and community well-being.
