MIAMI, FL – Miccosukee Casino & Resort is continuing its partnership with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), providing an additional $5,000 to support the South Florida-based non-profit’s humanitarian response efforts in Colombia and other regions.
The contribution follows an earlier $5,000 donation supporting GEM’s work in Venezuela.
“Supporting organizations like Global Empowerment Mission allows us to make an impact that extends well beyond our own community,” said Brad Rhines, President and General Manager of Miccosukee Casino & Resort. “We are proud to continue this partnership and help GEM provide essential resources to families when they need them most.”
GEM responds to natural disasters and humanitarian crises by delivering essential supplies and assistance to affected communities. Miccosukee’s latest contribution was made through the MICCO Cares Fund, which is supported by Miccosukee Casino & Resort team members.
The casino previously worked with GEM as a public donation drop-off site following earthquakes in Venezuela, collecting nearly 1,000 boxes of supplies, along with crutches, walkers and other materials for relief efforts.
