COCONUT CREEK, FL – Seminole Casino Coconut Creek recognized eight team members for their courageous, life-saving actions during the property’s Heroes Awards.
The ceremony honored employees who played critical roles in responding to medical emergencies, collectively accounting for 14 life-saving interventions involving guests between September 2025 and February 2026.
Each honoree was presented with a Hard Rock Safety pin, which represents protection, connection, and accountability. The recognition reflects team members who proactively identify risks, prevent incidents, and lead by example.

- Zion Kelly, Security Supervisor
- Carolina Pais, Security Supervisor
- Leonardo Leon, Security Supervisor
- Joshua Storey, Security Officer
- Errol Dennis, Security – Emergency Response Technician
- Miguel Arteaga, Security – Emergency Response Technician
Notably, Bret Powers and Victor Weinberg were previously recognized by the City of Coconut Creek Fire Department with the Fenix Award for their heroic efforts.

The honorees responded to multiple emergency situations requiring immediate medical intervention, including performing chest compressions, administering AED support and assisting unresponsive guests. Their coordinated efforts across 14 incidents demonstrate the strength of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s emergency preparedness and the dedication of its team members to protecting those on property.
The event was attended by local officials and public safety leaders, including Mayor Jeff Wasserman, City of Coconut Creek; Vice Mayor John Brodie; City Manager Sheila Rose; Fire Chief Brian Blizzard; Deputy Fire Chief Mike Rodriguez; Chief of Police Fred Hofer and Executive Director or Seminole Public Safety Tony Rosa.
The recognition event highlights the property’s ongoing investment in training, preparedness, and rapid response protocols, ensuring that team members are equipped to act decisively in critical moments.
