MARKSVILLE, LA – Paragon Casino Resort has been named Best Large Business at the 2026 Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Bizzy Awards, recognizing Paragon’s continued impact as one of the region’s leading employers, hospitality destinations and economic drivers. The award was presented during the 14th Annual Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala at the Randolph Riverfront Center. The annual red-carpet event celebrates businesses, organizations and leaders that are helping shape the future of Central Louisiana.
“For more than three decades, Paragon has been part of the fabric of Central Louisiana,” said Marshall Ray Sampson, Sr., GM of Paragon Casino Resort. “This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects not just what we offer as a resort, but the people behind it – our associates, our guests, the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana and the community partners who have helped Paragon grow into what it is today.”
Owned by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana, Paragon Casino Resort has grown from a gaming destination into a full-service resort and entertainment venue with a hotel, spa, golf course, restaurants, meeting space, movie theater and family-friendly amenities. The resort employs more than 600 associates and continues to support tourism, events and business activity throughout Avoyelles Parish and the surrounding region.
The Best Large Business award follows Paragon’s 2025 Bizzy Award for Best Business Website, marking back-to-back recognition from the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce. While last year’s award highlighted Paragon’s investment in digital innovation and guest convenience, this year’s recognition reflects the resort’s broader role as a business leader and community partner.
“The annual Bizzy Awards ceremony celebrates the local businesses and industries driving our regional economy,” said Deborah Randolph, President of the Central Louisiana Regional Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber Board and I extend heartfelt congratulations to this year’s outstanding winners for their hard work, innovation, and continued investment in our community’s future.”
Paragon Casino Resort first opened in 1994 and has continued to evolve with new amenities, entertainment offerings and guest experiences. Today, the resort remains one of Central Louisiana’s most recognizable destinations, drawing visitors from across the state and beyond while supporting jobs, tourism and local partnerships.
