BALTIC, CT – Mohegan Sun Golf Club (MSGC), a short drive from Mohegan Sun, will open for its season on Wednesday, April 15th, unveiling the results of a multi-million-dollar golf course renovation designed to enhance the overall player experience and pace of play. The investment positions one of the Northeast’s premier golf destinations with an elevated experience for all golfers, including Mohegan Sun’s Momentum members.
The extensive renovation project focused on improving every aspect of playability and aesthetics at Mohegan Sun Golf Club. Featuring design guidance and expertise from renowned architect Ron Garl, the redesign introduced strategic bunker reductions, upgraded cart paths, selective tree removal, and a series of other adjustments to optimize sightlines and overall play. The initiative focused on improving the overall golfing experience and pace of play, implemented by the MSGC team under the leadership of Philip Krick Jr., Vice President and General Manager of Golf Operations.
Additionally, the project involved the introduction of two entirely new designs to holes #3, #6 and #11. A multitude of upgrades also included all-new irrigation and drainage systems, ensuring elevated playing conditions.
“Mohegan Sun Golf Club has undergone a significant course upgrade after our multi-year, multi-million-dollar renovation, and we can’t wait to open the reimagined course on April 15th,” said Krick. “We’ve made key improvements not just to the overall course, but also to our online booking systems, making it easier than ever for guests to secure tee times and enjoy a seamless experience from the moment they book to the moment they step onto one of the most beautiful courses in the region.”
