Golden Mesa Casino To Host Ribbon Cutting of $78M Expansion

GUYMON, OK – The Shawnee Tribe, in partnership with Global Gaming Solutions, will celebrate the grand opening of a recently completed $78 million expansion of the Golden Mesa Casino at 11:00am on Friday, August 22.

With its new full-service restaurant, 99 luxurious hotel rooms, 45-slip RV park, and the 80,000 sq. ft. gaming floor boasting over 1,100 electronic games and 10 table games, Golden Mesa will increase its daily workforce to approximately 250 employees.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be attended by Shawnee Chief Ben Barnes; Shawnee Ambassador Ron Sparkman; Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby; Bill Lance, Chickasaw Nation, Secretary of State; Shawnee Development President Chris Floyd; Skip Seeley, Global Gaming Solutions CEO; Mike Shannon, Guymon City Manager; and Kim Peterson, Mayor of Guymon.

The casino, located about two miles southwest of Guymon on US Highway 54, opened in September 2019, creating a new tourism and entertainment destination in the region. When it opened, the casino generated 175 jobs and about $4 million in annual payroll.

Global Gaming Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chickasaw Nation, manages casino operations, while the Shawnee Tribe maintains ownership.
