U.S. Supreme Court Denies Stay, Upholding Florida’s Mobile Sports Betting Compact with Seminole Tribe

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Supreme Court denied an application for stay, allowing the State of Florida’s mobile sports betting compact with the Seminole Tribe to stand. The compact between the state and the Seminole Tribe, established in 2021, posited that mobile sports bets placed anywhere in Florida would be considered as if they were made “on tribal lands,” as long as the servers processing the bets were located on tribal property.

The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision upholds the ability of the Seminole Tribe to offer online sports betting across Florida.
