MASHANTUCKET, CT – Foxwoods Resort Casino is marking its 34th anniversary with a series of property updates and new additions, alongside a continued focus on guest experience.
Over the past three decades, Foxwoods has expanded from a gaming-focused operation into a full-scale resort offering dining, entertainment, and gaming options. The property continues to invest in amenities and programming designed to serve guests from across the Northeast.

As part of its 34th anniversary, Foxwoods is introducing a series of property updates aimed at both returning guests and first-time visitors. While changes are taking place throughout the resort, this year’s announcements are focused on The Fox Tower, which continues to play a central role in the property’s ongoing development plans. Merging vibrant nightlife, cutting-edge gaming, and dynamic dining experiences, The Fox Tower represents the resort’s lifestyle-driven evolution, offering guests a bold and modern take on what it means to resort.
Highlights of the anniversary announcements include:
Yamashiro Foxwoods: Foxwoods will introduce Yamashiro, marking the restaurant’s first location in the Northeast. The Los Angeles–based brand will offer a Japanese-inspired dining concept that transitions into a nightlife venue on weekend evenings, with DJs and late-night programming on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Fox Tower Hotel Renovation: As part of a multi-year renovation project, Foxwoods has begun updating guest rooms in The Fox Tower. Additional phases of the project are expected to include updates to the lobby and the introduction of new hospitality concepts.
The Innovation Zone: Foxwoods plans to launch The Fox Tower Innovation Zone, a new gaming area focused on emerging technology and updated gaming options. The space is intended to highlight new formats and features within the property’s gaming floor.
New Box Office: The Fox Tower Box Office will debut a redesigned space aimed at improving layout and guest access for entertainment ticketing.
Additional upgrades across the resort include a newly relocated Poker Room in The Fox Tower, offering players an enhanced experience in a refreshed setting. Recent additions like Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, Momosan by Morimoto and The Bedford by Martha Stewart, which is set to open in March 2026, have elevated the dining portfolio while Club Newport and the Pequot Woodlands Casino continues to expand and update its gaming offerings.. With ongoing renovations of The Great Cedar Hotel and more exciting developments on the horizon, Foxwoods remains committed to delivering exceptional experiences across every corner of the property.
Foxwoods officially celebrated its 34th anniversary with a celebratory event in front of the Premier Theater on February 15, featuring remarks from resort leadership followed by a ceremonial anniversary cake cutting. Guests received a first look at upcoming property enhancements and new dining openings, offering a preview of what’s next for the resort in 2026 and beyond.
In honor of the milestone, Foxwoods Rewards members participated in a giveaway where one Foxwoods Rewards winner took home a 2026 BMW X5 following the ceremony.
