TULSA, OK – Cherokee Art Market will return to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Oct. 11–12, marking its 20th year celebrating Native art, culture, and tradition. Two decades since its launch, Cherokee Art Market has grown into one of the largest Native American art markets in the state, bringing together artists and collectors from across the country.

Nearly 50 tribes will be represented by 170 artists, with artwork ranging from beadwork, pottery, paintings, basketry, sculptures, textiles and more.

“Cherokee Art Market has transformed into a one-of-a-kind experience for artists, collectors and guests of all ages,” said Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. “It is not only a place where you can find beautiful, authentic artwork from some of the nation’s top Native artists, but the space allows for guests to truly engage with the artists, hear their stories and grow a greater understanding and respect for Native cultures.”

Guests can meet directly with each juried artist and learn more about their work. In addition, the market features cultural demonstrations and presentations throughout the weekend. Participating artists will compete for their share of more than $75,000 across nearly 30 categories, as well as special recognition such as Best of Show, Innovator Award and Culture Keeper.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, at 6:00 p.m. to welcome artists and announce winning work. Cherokee Art Market will be presented by Cherokee Nation Businesses and is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is only $10, available online or at the door.
