Zitro Committed to Sustainability, Reduces Carbon Footprint by 80%

LAS VEGAS, NV – Zitro has taken new measures to further reduce the impact of its carbon footprint by implementing an internal action plan in which the company has managed to reduce (by 80 percent compared to the previous year) its greenhouse gas emissions from energy consumption. Additionally, the company has opted to collaborate with suppliers committed to the use of environmentally friendly materials in their manufacturing.

The carbon footprint refers to the amount of greenhouse gas emissions generated, directly or indirectly, by the development of economic activities. Committed to improving and reducing their environmental impact, the company has again updated its carbon footprint calculation by analyzing the stages of its products’ life cycle from the acquisition of raw materials to manufacturing, transportation, use and waste management.

Zitro Laboratory has implemented new measures to reduce its ecological footprint with the creation and implementation of new sustainable policies, such as the organization and internal planning of energy consumption in the framework of product development, as well as the sourcing of raw materials from local suppliers for the manufacturing of its products, which results in energy savings used for transportation logistics, considerably reducing its carbon footprint.

“As a company we have a corporate social responsibility and at Zitro we always try to be one step ahead,” said Johnny Ortiz Viveiros, founder of Zitro. “Implementing policies that help protect the environment is part of our company philosophy, so we are committed to sustainable sourcing and prioritize suppliers that engage with emissions-improvement efforts. We encourage other companies to join new initiatives that promote the sustainable development of their business. Together we can offset our footprint and make a positive difference.”
