THACKERVILLE, OK – The annual Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation Conference will take place May 29-30 at WinStar World Casino and Resort Convention Center in Thackerville, OK, and will also be streamed online. The conference recognizes the strength and leadership of Chickasaw women from all walks of life and salutes their valuable contributions, talents and skills. It also serves as a platform to showcase and recognize the dynamic and exceptional women of the Chickasaw Nation.
The theme for the 2025 event will be “Honoring Our Past, Shaping Our Future.” The two-day conference will feature presentations, panel discussions, audience-driven forums, an array of unique breakout sessions and the announcement of the 2025 Chickasaw Nation Dynamic Woman of the Year. Established in 2006, the Dynamic Woman of the Year Award honors women of the Chickasaw Nation for their strength, leadership and valuable contributions to their tribe. It also pays tribute to a Chickasaw woman who has inspired, given hope or opened new possibilities or opportunities for others through her example.
Whitney Anderson, 2024 Chickasaw Nation Dynamic Woman of the Year, will deliver the conference keynote address. Anderson, a Chickasaw citizen from Oklahoma City, is a leader in the fight against human trafficking. She is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Dragonfly Home, where she spearheads a pioneering non-profit focused on providing lifesaving services for victim-survivors of human trafficking in Oklahoma. In this role, she led the establishment of crucial services that were previously nonexistent in the state, ensuring survivors have access to lifesaving and life-changing resources.
