FLORENCE, OR – Three Rivers Casino Resort has concluded its annual food and toy drive as part of its holiday-season community outreach efforts.
In Florence, the drive collected 4,200 pounds of food for Mapleton Food Share and Florence Food Share, helping local families during the holidays and into the new year. The team also delivered three large crates of toys and more than 40 bicycles to the Florence Police Department, supporting more than 100 local families.
In Coos Bay, an additional 1,436 pounds of food and 163 toys were donated to support local families in need.
“We are incredibly proud of the generosity we see from our community every year,” said Rich Colton, Director of Marketing at Three Rivers Casino Resort. “Every toy and every pound of food donated represents a family that will feel supported this holiday season. Giving back is at the heart of who we are, and we are grateful to everyone who helped turn this drive into such a meaningful show of holiday spirit.”
The annual drive is made possible through partnerships with local police departments and community organizations that help identify families in need throughout the region.
“We really appreciate working with Three Rivers for the toy and food drive program we have here in Florence,” said Hailey Coons, Florence Police Department School Resource Officer. “They’re a big part of the service we’re able to offer our community during the holiday season.”
“I think it’s wonderful when businesses give back to the community they serve,” said Beth Bolles, a food drive recipient. “My wife and I live on Social Security, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to decide which bills to pay. Discovering we were eligible for the food share helped us immensely.”
