EAST TAUNTON, MA – The First Light Welcome Center will have extended operating hours beginning on April 21st, seven days a week from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Featuring 50 state-of-the-art slot machines, the Welcome Center offers a preview of what will become a premier casino destination and a key economic driver for the area. When First Light Casino’s full Class III casino opens, it will offer a world-class gaming floor, table games, top-tier dining, and live entertainment.
As the only Native American casino in the region, First Light Casino ensures economic growth, job creation, and cultural sustainability for future generations of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Beyond benefiting the tribe, First Light Casino is also poised to become a major economic engine for the City of Taunton and it’s community members. The casino will bring new jobs, attract tourism, and generate significant revenue that will support local businesses and infrastructure.
“I am glad to say we’ve seen a very positive response with the opening of the First Light Welcome Center,” said Brian Weeden, Chairman of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. “Feeling that level of support from the City of Taunton, community members, and visitors is what encouraged us to expand operating hours for our guests.”
