LEMOORE, CA – Tachi Palace Casino Resort recently hosted the 22nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Lemoore Golf Course. The day supported three charities – Refuge Armona, Central Valley Justice Coalition, and Sweet Nectar Society. Festivities began with live Mariachi music at registration, followed by breakfast and a variety of local food and beverage vendors stationed throughout the course. The tournament drew over 144 golfers, including a mix of local and visiting California Native American casino representatives and industry vendors.

This year’s selected non-profit beneficiaries each serve vulnerable and often overlooked populations in the Central Valley. From youth mentorship to human trafficking prevention to uplifting medically fragile children through photography, these organizations reflect the values of compassion, resilience, and service that the Tachi Palace team supports.

Refuge Armona supports at-risk youth in a community where 95% are socioeconomically disadvantaged. With many children left unsupervised after school, Refuge Armond provides a safe space for homework help, mentorship, and personal growth, empowering them to find purpose and become future community leaders. “We are truly grateful for the support of the Tachi Palace in helping make a difference in the lives of Armona’s youth,” said Aaron Haley, Refuge Armona Co-Founder. “We at Refuge Armona are passionate about providing resources needed for all youth to thrive and become successful difference makers in the world around them. Tachi has been a pivotal partner in this work, and we are very thankful.”

Central Valley Justice Coalition partners with churches and the community to combat human trafficking through prevention, education, outreach, and collaboration. “Human trafficking doesn’t happen in a vacuum, and this work cannot be done without partnership,” said Danielle Grassi, Youth Advocate of the Central Valley Justice Coalition. “Tachi Palace’s generosity is a powerful statement that justice, dignity, and freedom matter – and that creating real, lasting change requires all of us.”

Sweet Nectar Society offers free photography sessions for children with complex medical needs. Their mission is to encourage, celebrate, and advocate for these “sweeties” through the power of photography. “Thank you for this opportunity. I am so grateful for the generosity Tachi Palace has shown to Sweet Nectar Society,” said Brittany Wilbur, Founder of Sweet Nectar Society.  “It is truly a gift to feel the support from our community. The funds given will help us provide lasting memories to many families for years to come.”

“We’re incredibly pleased with the fantastic turnout for our 22nd Annual Golf Tournament,” said Michael Olujic, GM of Tachi Palace Casino Resort. “Everyone had a great time, and more importantly, came together to support local charities that make a real difference in our community.”
