Spirit of the Water, Treasure Island Resort & Casino’s Unique Amenity, Returns to Service

Treasure Island Spirit of the Water

WELCH, MN – After an 18-month hiatus, the Spirit of the Water is returning to Treasure Island Resort & Casino’s marina for the 2021 cruise season. The unique amenity offers casino-goers a chance to break away from the gaming floor and enjoy a relaxing lunch, brunch or dinner cruise while taking in the panoramic sights and natural sounds of the Mississippi River valley.

Public sightseeing cruises are available Saturdays and Sundays, and private charters are also available. Lunch menus feature a choice of pulled pork, smoked BBQ brisket sandwiches or grilled polenta, and dinner menus feature prime rib or roasted turkey.

At the helm is Captain Lee Hendrix, who throughout a 40+ year career has piloted the American, Delta and Mississippi Queen Steamboats, large and small passenger vessels for casinos in Illinois and Iowa, and served as Captain on the M/V Mississippi, the largest towboat in the U.S. This is Hendrix’s first season captaining Spirit of the Water.
