A total of 20 hotels and restaurants from across a large portion of Upstate New York were recognized with the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award®. The award recognizes hotels that are upscale in all areas, providing guests with accommodations that are progressively more refined and stylish. Seneca Niagara and Seneca Allegany were the only Western New York hotels located outside of the City of Buffalo to be honored.

Throughout the year, AAA inspectors visit hotels and restaurants across North America, the Caribbean and Costa Rica unannounced to conduct objective inspections, rating the properties on the four Cs of cleanliness, comfort, cuisine, and consistency. Only a fraction of hotels – approximately 1,750 in total – earn the coveted Four Diamond rating.
