NIAGARA FALLS, NY –Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino has opened 716 SportsWear, an exciting new retail outlet featuring a dynamic selection of sports apparel that celebrates Buffalo’s favorite teams, including official merchandise from the Bills, Sabres, Bandits, and more.
“Just like our sports stadiums, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is a place for unparalleled excitement,” said Joanne Israel, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino General Manager. “And, just like our favorite sports teams, we attract visitors from throughout the area, across the country and all over the world. Now, our guests will be able to celebrate our teams while they are here and take that excitement with them when they go, no matter what season it is.”
716 SportsWear, located on the resort’s West Concourse, spans 700 sq. ft. and offers a wide selection of fan gear. The store features jerseys, hats, activewear, loungewear, and unique items like beaded medallions and earrings, with products from brands such as New Era, 26 Shirts, and other trusted favorites, along with new styles.
Planning and development for 716 SportsWear has been underway for more than a year and represents a collaboration between Seneca Gaming Corporation and Legends, a global live events, hospitality, merchandising and guest experiences leader, which helped bring the store’s concept to life.
“This project brought two great teams together to create another unique experience that adds to the excitement for our guests,” said Kevin Nephew, Seneca Gaming Corporation President & CEO. “We were excited to work with Legends on a vision of celebrating Buffalo fandom in a very vibrant way.”
716 SportsWear began operations Friday, June 13, with daily operating hours of 11:00am to 7:00pm. A grand opening event is planned for Saturday, June 28 at 4:30pm, and will feature several Buffalo sports legends including: Buffalo Bills linebacker and Western New York native Joe Andreessen; Buffalo Bills legend George Wilson; Clay Scanlan from the reigning three-time World Champions Buffalo Bandits; and Buffalo Sabres great and former team captain Craig Rivet. Fans are invited to join in the grand opening celebration.
Seneca Gaming Corporation has longstanding business partnerships with the region’s sports franchises and has a visible presence at games and inside the stadiums.
