DOWAGIAC, MI – Mno-Bmadsen, the non-gaming investment arm of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, has expanded its Construction Services Group with the acquisition of OJS Building Services, a mechanical and building automation systems contractor.

Located in Mishawaka, IN, OJS offers HVAC, plumbing, and building automation services to a wide variety of commercial customers including hospitals, schools, shopping centers, municipal buildings, swimming pools and office buildings. The company’s primary services include installation and service of boilers, chillers, hydronic and steam equipment, process piping, commercial plumbing, medical gases, and extensive preventative maintenance offerings.

“We are very pleased to make this investment in another well-established Indiana company, which further demonstrates our commitment to supporting the communities which are located on the ancestral lands of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi,” said Julio Martinez, Mno-Bmadsen Chief Executive Officer. “The acquisition of OJS Building Services not only complements our Construction Services Group and growing portfolio of investment holdings, but also expands the capabilities of our longtime local industry leading commercial HVAC and plumbing company, D.A. Dodd.”

Headquartered in Rolling Prairie, IN, and with offices in Mishawaka and Lafayette, IN, D.A. Dodd has been providing quality service and craftsmanship in Indiana and Michigan since 1995. As a fully bonded, insured, union mechanical contractor, D.A. “We believe this acquisition will result in a value-enhanced business that will support our efforts in leading the market while providing a new opportunity to expand OJS’s established controls department,” said Jason DeMeyer, President of D.A. Dodd.
