ALTADENA, CA – Pechanga Resort Casino and the LA Clippers have donated a refurbished community technology lab at Loma Alta Park in Altadena. The lab and the remainder of the park officially opened to the public on May 17 with a grand reopening event. The refurbishment includes the addition of laptops, desktops, 3D printers, video game consoles with games, and a charging cart for all devices.

LA Clippers’ alumni Craig Smith was in attendance for the event and challenged several eager gamers to test their skills on the new equipment. The technology outfitting the rebuilt center comes courtesy of the LA Clippers and Pechanga. The two organizations teamed up in 2024 for a long-term, founding partner sponsorship grounded in giving back.

“The Eaton Fire devastated families throughout our region, and kids have borne the brunt of that trauma,” said Sean Vasquez, President of the Pechanga Development Corporation. “This community center gives them what they need most right now – a safe place to just be kids again. Our partnership with the LA Clippers isn’t just about donations or press releases. It’s about recognizing that strong communities are built when organizations step up during the hardest moments. That’s what real partnership looks like.”
