MARKSVILLE, LA – Paragon Casino Resort has made its first quarter donations from its Slot Ticket Donation Program, an initiative that allows guests to support local non-profits simply by contributing unused slot tickets. Over the past three months, patrons at Paragon have dropped off their unclaimed tickets into donation boxes around the casino floor.

For the first quarter of 2025, the following organizations have been selected to receive contributions from the Slot Ticket Donation Program: United Way of Central Louisiana, Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society and DementiaSociety.Org. Each organization will receive $1,000 to further their missions of uplifting the Central Louisiana community through essential services and support.

“Supporting the community is a cornerstone of our mission at Paragon Casino Resort,” said Marshall Ray Sampson, Sr, Paragon Casino Resort General Manager. “This program offers an easy way for our guests to contribute to causes that make a difference, and we’re grateful for their support in making this initiative a success.”

The next round of recipients for the second quarter of 2025 will be announced soon. Charitable organizations and non-profits are encouraged to apply for consideration ahead of the program deadlines – May 1 for the spring and November 1 for the fall. Participating organizations will receive a percentage of available funding after the conclusion of the six-month timeframe. The proceeds will be split evenly among the selected partners.
