YUMA, CA – Paradise Casino is kicking off college basketball’s March Madness with former NBA player, Byron Scott. The three-time NBA champion and former coach of the Los Angeles Lakers will be meeting fans and signing autographs in Sharky’s Lounge Saturday, March 11 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
The event will be open to all ages, giving fans the opportunity to meet Scott in person. Scott played 14 seasons in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana Pacers, and Vancouver Grizzlies. He was a key member of the Lakers’ Showtime era, winning three championships alongside Hall of Famers Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. In addition to his playing career, Scott had a successful coaching career, leading the Lakers to the NBA Finals in 2009 and 2010.
Basketball fans can celebrate the start of the tournament, just before the selection show on Sunday, and visit the sportsbook for in-person sports bets.
