“The Coweta Casino Hotel represents a significant milestone,” said Principal Chief David Hill. “Through capital investments, we honor our heritage by ensuring that lives are improved, opportunities are created and a better future becomes possible for all. This development strengthens regional tourism and welcomes visitors from across Oklahoma and beyond, offering premier entertainment and hospitality while showcasing the beauty of our land and the culture of our citizens.”

The Coweta Casino Hotel includes a raised center casino bar, full-service, 150-seat restaurant and private dining room. Externally, visitors are welcomed by a 1,000-space, paved parking lot and a vibrant porte-cochère entrance. The property features two entrances, one directly into the casino and a separate entrance into the hotel lobby. The design includes a spacious walkthrough connecting the hotel lobby to the casino and restaurant.

“Developments like this reinforce who we are,” said Second Chief Del Beaver. “It demonstrates our ability to lead and to invest boldly in opportunities that strengthen our communities. I am especially proud of the thoughtful design and amenities throughout this property – from the hotel accommodations to the full-service restaurant and the gathering spaces that will bring people together throughout the year.”

The Coweta Casino Hotel lobby features commissioned artwork by Muscogee Nation artist Carly Treece, created to welcome guests and celebrate the rich history of the region. The powerful artwork titled Kvwetv honors one of the four original Mother Towns of the Muscogee Nation, historically located along the Chattahoochee River. The river is depicted across three central panels, symbolizing the lifeblood of Muscogee towns – a source of ceremony, governance, trade and connection. The surrounding panels are layered with natural materials including ash, charcoal and soil gathered on Muscogee land.

“Since announcing this project, we have often been asked, ‘Why Coweta?’ The answer is straightforward. The City of Coweta is experiencing sustained growth, and Wagoner County continues to gain momentum as an important part of the Tulsa metropolitan area,” said Pat Crofts, CEO of Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises. “Where population grows, demand for entertainment, hospitality and tourism follows. Accessibility, growth and strong community partnership all matter when making an investment of this scale, and Coweta represents each of those in a meaningful way. That is why we chose to invest here.”

According to the Tulsa Regional Chamber’s economic impact report, the construction phase of Coweta Casino Hotel represented a significant investment in the Wagoner County region, supporting an estimated 501 jobs and generating $22.6 million in income, for a total economic impact of $132.5 million.

Now fully operational, Coweta Casino Hotel has created 250 new direct jobs, which in turn support an additional 346 indirect jobs, for a combined total of 596 jobs across the region. Together, these positions are expected to generate $27.5 million in new annual income. In addition, ongoing operational spending on goods and services will continue to contribute to the region’s overall economic activity and growth.

“Coweta is one of the fastest growing communities in Oklahoma, and smart growth means making sure our roads, water systems, and public safety services are ready to serve people well,” said Coweta Mayor Naomi Hogue. “That kind of progress takes strong partners, and we value our partnership with the Muscogee Nation and their investments that help strengthen our community.”

“At Tulsa Regional Tourism we celebrate successes all over Green Country, and the addition of the Coweta Casino Hotel is a testament to the growth, vibrancy and excitement of the City of Coweta,” said Renee McKenney, President, Tulsa Regional Tourism and SVP of Tourism at the Tulsa Regional Chamber. “We are so grateful to the Muscogee Nation for their continued partnership and investment in the region. Wagoner County is a crucial economic driver in the area and Coweta’s growth only strengthens the greater Tulsa area, and it’s incredibly exciting to see what the future holds.”

“With 250 new permanent jobs, the Coweta Casino Hotel will be a huge boost to other local small businesses in town,” said Joe Matlock, Board president of the Coweta Chamber of Commerce and VP of BancFirst Coweta. “From gas stations to restaurants, from coffee shops to hardware stores, the people employed at these new jobs will spend their money at our local businesses, because the people employed here, are us. They will be our neighbors, our family members, our children, working, growing and living in Coweta.”

“As we expand into Coweta, we do so with purpose,” said Andy Langston, COO of Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises. “Each strategic investment we make within our historic boundaries reflects careful planning, responsible growth and a commitment to long-term sustainability. The Coweta Casino Hotel allows us to extend our hospitality footprint while ensuring that Muscogee culture and presence remain visible and respected throughout the region. We are proud to continue building destinations that serve our guests, support our citizens and contribute to the economic strength of the communities we call home.”
