BANNING, CA – The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has donated more than $185,000 to the Banning Pass Little League to fund new bleachers and shaded coverings for the fields used by hundreds of youth and families at Lions Park.

“We are excited to help enhance the Banning Pass Little League facilities and support their mission to provide a safe and positive environment where youth can learn to succeed both on and off the field,” said Morongo Tribal Chairman Charles Martin. “Supporting youth athletics in our local communities has always been a top priority at Morongo.”

Julian Quinones, President of the non-profit Banning Pass Little League, thanked Morongo for the donation, which will improve the spectator experience for friends and loved ones who watch local youth play baseball, softball, tee-ball, and the Challenger Division in the league.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Morongo Band of Mission Indians for their generous support of the Banning Pass Little League, our teams, and our players,” said Quinones. “These new bleachers and shaded areas will make a tremendous difference for our fans and families as they cheer on our players.”

Morongo has donated more than $435,000 to the Banning Pass Little League over the past three years to bring a new scoreboard, new equipment, and improvements to the dugouts and fields at Lions Park.

Over the past decade, Morongo has given more than $15 million to support local and regional non-profit organizations that help seniors, families, veterans, youth, and those in need.
