Mohegan Tribe Announces Annual Festival

UNCASVILLE, CT – The Mohegan Tribe will host its annual Wigwam Festival on August 16 and 17 at Fort Shantok on the Mohegan Reservation, inviting the public to take part in this long-standing cultural tradition.

Each year, the Mohegan Tribe celebrates its culture with Native American dancers, artisans, and families from across the country travel to participate in this family-friendly celebration of culture, heritage, and community. The two-day event features traditional Native American crafts, foods, and dance competitions, all set in a historic and welcoming outdoor setting.

The Wigwam Festival will take place over two days: Saturday, August 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, August 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The festival held at Fort Shantok is free and open to the public. 

Complimentary parking will be located offsite at Saint Bernard School located at 1593 Norwich-New London Turnpike in Uncasville, CT.  Shuttle service will be provided with pick-ups and drop-offs at two locations throughout the day. Guests can park at Saint Bernard School and take the complimentary shuttle to the Wigwam Festival. For guests staying at the Mohegan Sun hotels, there will be an additional pick-up/drop-off location at the Sky Hotel lobby.
