TUCSON, AZ — The Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise has announced that James O’Kimosh will serve as GM overseeing Desert Diamond Casino Tucson, Desert Diamond Casino Sahuarita, and Desert Diamond Casino Why in Southern Arizona. O’Kimosh had previously been serving as Southern Arizona Slot Director.
O’Kimosh is a tribal member of Menominee and Arikara heritage and was born and raised on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, WI. His professional career spans education and gaming, reflecting a broad leadership background. He began his career as a math and computer science teacher and later served as a college professor of information technology. He has since held executive-level roles in the gaming industry, including information technology director, project manager, casino general manager, and slot director. O’Kimosh joined Desert Diamond Casino in 2019 and most recently served as Southern Arizona slot director.
