MARICOPA, AZ – Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino’s Salute Business Impact Group continued its commitment to honoring and supporting veterans, their families, and the organizations that serve them by hosting a series of meaningful events throughout November.
During the month, Salute volunteers joined forces with Diana Gregory Outreach Services for the “Veggies for Veterans” initiative, distributing fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables to more than 700 veterans. The effort served as a simple, yet powerful reminder of the respect, dignity, and appreciation owed to those who have served.
“We firmly believe in lifting up the people who have given so much in service to our country,” said Samantha Gulick, Director of Marketing and Operations and Executive Sponsor of Salute Business Impact Group. “Our veterans have devoted their lives to safeguarding our freedoms, and it’s an honor to support them when they need us most. By showing our appreciation and encouraging others in our community to do the same, we help spark a wave of meaningful, positive change in veterans’ lives.”
Continuing a tradition of corporate giving and community engagement, Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino team members also supported the Maricopa Veterans Day Parade. The culinary team prepared 300 box lunches, which Salute members served to veterans attending the event.
