WILLIAMSBURG, MI – Before the professionals compete in the LPGA Epson Tour Great Lakes Championship, the Grand Traverse Band Economic Development Corporation (GTB EDC) will sponsor the tournament’s Pro-Am event.
The Great Lakes Championship is one of the events on the Epson Tour schedule and brings professional golfers, visitors, and media attention to Northern Michigan. GTB EDC’s sponsorship supports the event and its associated tourism and economic activity in the region.

The LPGA Epson Tour Great Lakes Championship Pro-Am will feature a scramble format pairing three amateur golfers with one Epson Tour professional. The two-day event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18, at The Heather Course at Boyne Highlands.
The Epson Tour is the official qualifying tour for the LPGA Tour and features professional golfers competing for advancement to the LPGA. The Great Lakes Championship has drawn athletes and spectators to Northern Michigan and has contributed to tourism and regional business visibility.
According to the Grand Traverse Band Economic Development Corporation (GTB EDC), sponsoring the Pro-Am aligns with its efforts to support regional economic development, tourism, and community initiatives. GTB EDC also supported the inaugural tournament, which received the Epson Tour’s “Best New Event” recognition.
