MASHANTUCKET, CT – With more adults becoming vaccinated and COVID-19 restrictions being relaxed across Connecticut, Foxwoods Resort Casino plans to hire additional team members to support increased resort demand. Foxwoods, which has brought back over 3,000 employees to date, is looking to hire an additional 300+ team members for both full and part-time positions in a variety of departments, including hotel operations, food and beverage, security, accounting and more.
To retain and attract more candidates, Foxwoods is raising its starting wages. Pay ranges for all non-tipped, frontline positions will be increased to at least $13.50 per hour. During the months of June, July and August, hourly employees will also be paid double-time for any hours worked after having reached 40 hours in the work week. Additionally, Foxwoods will be offering team members a $200 referral bonus – after completing a successful 90 days of employment, the referred team member will also receive $200.
“As one of the largest employers in Connecticut, we’re extremely proud that Foxwoods has been an employer of choice for nearly three decades, and are thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome many new team members into our family,” said Jason Guyot, President and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino. “We are invested in and fiercely committed to the ongoing growth of our team members, and are focused on helping people start and build long-term careers at Foxwoods. This is the perfect time to bring new team members on board, as we anticipate an influx of guests this summer – the vaccine rollout has people thinking about travel again and there is pent-up demand for entertainment.”
New hires that reside in Connecticut can also take advantage of Governor Lamont’s recently announced hiring incentive program, Back to Work CT. The first 10,000 long-term unemployed workers statewide who find a job will receive a $1,000 signing bonus after they’ve spent eight weeks in their new full-time position.
Foxwoods continues to offer competitive salaries and benefits – which includes medical, dental and vision coverage; childcare reimbursement; tuition reimbursement; and paid meals, amongst others.
