BATTLE CREEK, MI – FireKeepers Casino Hotel has been named one of America’s Best-in-State Employers 2025 by Forbes, earning a spot on its annual list.

Forbes and Statista selected America’s Best-In-State Employers 2025 through an independent survey from a sample of over 160,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 500 people within the U.S. Over two million employer evaluations were considered. The final score is based on two types of employee evaluations – those given by employees themselves and then those given by friends and family members of employees, or members of the public who work in the same industry.

FireKeepers ranked 53rd among all employers in Michigan and is the only casino in the state to be recognized. FireKeepers employs nearly 2,000 team members, including 186 “day one” team members who have been with the company since its opening in 2009. Since that time, FireKeepers has paid out more than $1.1 billion in salaries and benefits. The company positive culture extends to both guests and staff, fostering a family-like atmosphere. Team members enjoy incentive bonuses, appreciation events, health benefits, and numerous programs designed to celebrate and motivate the workforce. Continuing that commitment, FireKeepers is in the process of building a new clinic and wellness center, which will provide convenient health services for both team members and tribal members.

“This recognition is a testament to the incredible culture we’ve built together,” said Frank Tecumseh, CEO of FireKeepers Casino Hotel. “Our team’s dedication and passion make FireKeepers an employer of choice not only in Michigan, but across the gaming industry.”
