PORTERVILLE, CA – Team members that have worked at Eagle Mountain Casino for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years were recently treated to a celebration for their years of service at the Eagle Mountain Casino’s event center. The event featured a sit-down dinner and dessert for all team members and their families. The Tule River Tribal Council and Eagle Mountain Casino management were also in attendance.
Eagle Mountain Casino team members were awarded various gifts including a commemorative lapel pin, “Years of Service” certificate, Visa gift cards, and an assortment of electronics, tablets, big screen TV’s, and variety of prizes.
“We would like to recognize our team members that have been with us for every five years and appreciate the work that they do for us here at Eagle Mountain Casino,” said Charles Farmer, Director of Human Resources.
Honored team members for five years of service included Jasmin Ayala – pit boss; Joshua Brandenburg – kitchen detailer; Angelo Cabanyog – table games training coordinator; Virjenna Chavez – retail supervisor; Brigham Faune – slot technician; Carl Hobson – facilities electrician; Sherri Lack – casino cashier; Plasida Longoria – steakhouse cook; Marlyn Pagtama – custodian; Deserae Rodriguez – card dealer, Virgina Ruiz – vault cashier; Alberto Saravia – CFO; Calista Tristan – barista; Douglas Vera – shipping and receiving associate; and Edison Villa – maintenance worker.
Honored team member for 10 years of service was Valerie Cannon – slot attendant, and Young Chavez – maintenance supervisor.
Honored team members for 15 years of service included: Patricia Current – cook; Esmerelda Martinez – food and beverage supervisor; Pedro Pulido – heavy duty cleaner; and Hzongchua Vang – kitchen steward.
Honored team members for 20 years of service team members included Leticia Cannon – custodian; Tyson Gibson – table games assistant manager; Jaime Guzman – card dealer; Paul Manuel – pit boss; Dustin Paguia – slot repair supervisor; Trina Palomo – food and beverage supervisor, Ricardo Prieto – casino shift manager; Patty Reynolds – accounts payable clerk; and Jose Rodriguez Jr. – slot technician.
Honored team members for 25 years of service included: Alicia Barrera – server; Tou Xao Cha – slot manager, Dennis Hunter – Director of Casino Operations, Herbert Lenares – maintenance worker; Geneva Rose – summit club manager; and Isabel Vera – financial controller.
“Eagle Mountain Casino has over 620 team members right now, not employees, not staff – they are a team member, and I am proud to be a part of that team,” said Matthew Mingrone, General Manager at Eagle Mountain Casino. “There are 60 team members that have been there at least 20 years – that’s unheard of. And it’s because of the way the Tule River Tribe treats us as people, not as numbers, not as staff, but as people.”
