Chukchansi Gold Introduces Nohʔoʔ Café in Tribute to Chukchansi Language

COARSEGOLD, CA – A transformation is underway at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino as Goldfield’s Cafe is being reintroduced as Nohʔoʔ Café (pronounced No-Oh). The rebranding celebrates the tribe’s language and culture, inviting guests to experience American home-style cooking immersed in Chukchansi tradition. Derived from the Chukchansi word for bear, Nohʔoʔ Café embraces the spirit of the bear, symbolizing strength and warmth.

“The introduction of Nohʔoʔ Café is a way for us to honor the traditional Chukchansi language and keep our heritage alive today,” said Tracey Hopkins, Chukchansi’s Tribal Council Chairwoman. “Language and culture go hand in hand – they shape our identity. This is a meaningful way for us to connect the past with the present and celebrate our future and our unity.”

Nohʔoʔ Café continues Goldfield’s tradition of serving oversized portions of gourmet American home-style cooking at cafe prices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night dining. Guests can enjoy all-day breakfast in addition to a large menu with starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and comfort entrees.

Nohʔoʔ Café is open 8:00am to 11:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and until midnight Friday and Saturday.
