ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Long-time hospitality executive Adrian Montoya has joined Sandia Resort & Casino as General Manager of Resort Operations.
A native New Mexican well-versed in the New Mexico hospitality industry, Montoya joins the team with more than 19 years of hospitality management experience. Most recently, he held senior management positions with Heritage Hotels & Resorts, as the General Manager of the Eldorado Hotel and Spa in Santa Fe and General Manager for Hotel Albuquerque. With Heritage Hotels & Resorts, he also held manager positions at Hotel St. Francis, Hotel Chimayo, Nativo Lodge and Hotel Plaza Rael, where he combined innovative and collaborative management techniques with a growth and development mindset to improve overall experiences of guests and team members.
A “40 Under 40” inductee in 2019, Montoya also received the Leadership of the Year Award in 2016 for his work at Hotel Chimayo and Hotel St. Francis, as well as the Leader of the Year for La Fonda on the Plaza in 2013, and Hotel of the Year and General Manager of the Year for his work at Hotel Plaza Real in 2008.
