FORT MCDOWELL, AZ – The We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort has partnered with the San Francisco Giants for spring training.
“We are thrilled to support America’s favorite pastime – and engage even further with the community – by partnering with the Giants during spring training,” said Harold Baugus, General Manager of the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort. “Spring training is huge here in the Valley, drawing both local residents and out-of-town visitors. As our new tagline says, ‘We have the best of it all,’ and we are looking forward to introducing even more guests to our one-stop vacation destination – particularly with summer staycations just around the corner.”
As part of their partnership, the We-Ko-Pa Casino will receive in-ballpark signage, premium hospitality and fan engagement opportunities, among other branding benefits. They will also be on-site as a vendor for the games on March 21 and March 22.
Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation President Sandra Pattea will throw the ceremonial first pitch on Friday, March 21 when the Giants take on the Cleveland Guardians.
Founded in 1883 and one of the oldest franchises in baseball, the Giants have won eight of their 20 World Series appearances. The team is number one in overall wins, the most in Major League Baseball, boasting 25 Hall of Famers (the second most in MLB).
