Lexington, KY – Veridocs, a provider of identity management technology in the gaming industry, is marking its 20th anniversary in 2026. Since its founding, the company has continued to develop its core technologies for authenticating documents and verifying a person’s status on a range of watch lists. Today its Evolution platform, a browser-based user interface, is powered by a suite of ID management software. Evolution allows users to sync new and updated data to other integrated systems.
Veridocs is widely used among casinos for its performance in fast-paced gaming environments and amenities such as hotel check-in, bars and restaurants. Its identity management delivery has evolved from the cage at a single property on the Las Vegas Strip to users’ fingertips anywhere across a property. Other industries that face financial and regulatory exposure to fraudulent activities now turn to Veridocs for identity management, including banking, data centers, hospitality, and visitor/vendor management.

Veridocs was formed after September 11, 2001, when the Patriot Act was established and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations were expanded, including mandatory compliance for casinos. In 2005, Veridocs connected with the Venetian Las Vegas compliance team and offered to digitally automate their list checking, and with this, Veridocs got its start. The company’s headquarters was established soon after in Lexington, KY.
The Veridocs team soon realized a watchlist check would have limited usefulness without a way to ensure the patron’s ID document was authentic. This led them to develop a way to automate list checking and ID authentication for the Venetian, which then led to the development of TrueAuthentication, ID authentication software that scans an ID document with multiple light sources and cross-references security features against a document library. By 2009, the company’s work in authentication and automated watchlist checking had established it as a leading provider of ID solutions in the casino and gaming industry.
In 2022, Veridocs launched its Evolution platform, a browser-based user interface powered by a suite of ID authentication and verification software. Additional functionality and modules have been added since its launch. Today, the platform automates and consolidates identity management with ID Authentication (TrueAuthentication), Mobile Driver’s License (mDL), Mobile Verification (TrueVerify), Facial Comparison (TrueCompare), Watch List Screening (TrueListCheck), Watch List Monitoring (TrueListReview), and Document Imaging (TrueDoc). Veridocs plans to continue advancing its technologies to address demand for identity security solutions inside and outside of casino gaming.
