TULALIP, WA – Tulalip Resort Casino has completed an extensive, three-year, 70,250 sq. ft. expansion and top-to-bottom property-wide renovation. The renovation and expansion includes new design themes, an expanded gaming area complete with new amenities, new North Bar and refreshed Center Bar, renovated high-limit slots room, and dining venue upgrades.
“We are proud of the hard work and energy everyone has put into this project and to keeping Tulalip Resort Casino as the Northwest’s most distinctive gaming, dining, meeting, entertainment, and shopping destination,” said Marci Fryberg, President/COO of Tulalip Gaming Organization. “We have been deeply gratified by our guests’ positive response throughout the three-year journey. They have shared our excitement as each phase was revealed, knowing our goal is focused on delivering an unparalleled guest experience now, and far into the future.”

The renovation and expansion of the resort casino was announced in November 2023. Construction of the north addition began in January 2024, with the expanded floorplan opening in July 2025, just as renovations on the remainder of the property began.
The renovation of the 23-year-old property is highlighted by a new domed “landmark” in the heart of the gaming floor: the 38-ft. tall, seven-ton Center Bar. Reflecting the new casino-wide design themes, this sculpture is adorned with symbolic sea life denoting a Salish Sea “bay.” The 3,366 sq. ft. bar and lounge features bar-top gaming and seating options for up to 60 guests, striking the perfect balance of comfort, style, and convivial hospitality. Other renovations throughout the casino included the 4,000 sq. ft. high-limit slots room and design enhancements at several casino restaurants.

Honoring Tulalip Tribes’ culture and traditions, the renovation sets a welcoming tone with its rich palate of colors and use of natural materials. Design themes represent the dynamics of the nearby Salish Sea, coastal shorelines, and forest environments. Blue and gray hues pay homage to nearby waters and beaches, while creams and hints of copper and gold throughout the new gaming spaces connote Pacific Northwest sunsets.
The prominent new ceiling treatment includes a distinctive way-finding architectural feature with symbols representing schools of fish traveling parallel to fishing nets, and elements representing water currents, ripples, piers, nets, forage fish, and jellyfish.
Completed in 2025, the spacious north addition expanded the gaming floor to 270,250 sq. ft. with 400 new slot machines, bringing the casino’s total to more than 2,600. The north addition includes the striking North Bar, which serves a variety of cocktail, wines, and craft beers, and an outdoor covered patio and a smoking area. Stunning metallic tribal storytelling spindle whorls flank the north and east entrances with arched massive timber beams. The grand north entrance faces the Tulalip Amphitheatre and Seattle Premium Outlets fronted by a landscaped courtyard.

Working with the internal Project Team and Division Leaders, Swinerton Construction was the building contractor, and Rice Fergus Miller was the architectural firm for the project.
