TAMPA, FL – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is continuing its longstanding support of breast cancer awareness and research with the return of its annual Pinktober® campaign. Throughout the month of October, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa is “going pink” by participating in fundraising efforts supporting the Hard Rock Heals Foundation®, the charitable arm of Hard Rock, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and local charities.
This is Hard Rock International’s 26th annual Pinktober campaign, which has raised over $13 million for breast cancer research since its inception.
“Breast cancer is a disease that impacts individuals and their loved ones in our community and around the world,” said Joseph Wagner, VP & Assistant General Manager of Seminole Hard Rock Tampa. “We are proud to be part of Hard Rock’s global Pinktober efforts and have gratitude for our guests who join us in supporting the work to find a cure.”
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will once again be the Pink Premier Sponsor for this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, scheduled for Saturday, October 25, at Raymond James Stadium.
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa team members will have the opportunity to sign up to donate one percent or two percent of their pay for the month of October to benefit the American Cancer Society. Those team members will partake in “Think Pink Thursdays” by wearing signature “Rockin’ Walkstars” shirts to work. Additionally, AJ Uriarte, VP of Hospitality at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa, will be this year’s Men Wear Pink ambassador.
Guests at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa can also join the cause through the “Change for Change” round-up program at all cash centers. Spare change adds up to life-saving change, with 100% of donations benefiting the American Cancer Society.
