TAMPA, FL – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa kicked off its “My Rhythm. My Flavor. ¡Mi Gente!” Hispanic Heritage Month celebration with a $100,000 donation to 10 organizations serving Central Florida’s Hispanic community. Each organization received $10,000 as part of the initiative, which runs Sept. 15–Oct. 15.
Ten new nonprofit recipients are selected each year, with the initiative having supported 30 organizations to date. This year’s recipients are Boricuas de Corazón, Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation, Escuela de Bomba y Plena, HAPBWA Women’s Association, Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando, Hispanic Federation, Iroko Dance Academy Foundation, MiGente MiPueblo, Inc., Miss Latina Tampa and Wattaka.
“Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the people, traditions, and cultural influences that make our communities stronger,” said Lourdes M. Mola, Vice President of Latin Business Development for Seminole Gaming and Seminole Hard Rock. “We are proud to recognize and support the people and organizations doing meaningful work in the Hispanic community and creating a brighter future for generations to come.”

Hispanic Heritage Month programming at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will include Noche Latina on the first Friday of each month at The Rez Grill, weekly Latin Nights and salsa lessons at L Bar, and an En Vivo performance by Venezuelan salsa band Adolescentes Orquesta Sept. 24 at Hard Rock Cafe.
The property will also offer “Sabores,” a limited-time collection of Latin-inspired dishes at restaurants throughout the resort. Selections include picanha grilled skirt steak at The Rez Grill, seafood paella at Fresh Harvest, zarzuela fish stew at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, mojo pork tacos at The Draper Room, carne guisada braised beef at Jubao Palace Noodle Bar, el callao ceviche at Rock ‘N Raw, churro cheesecake at Rise Kitchen & Deli and a Regreso de Viracocha fried chicken sandwich at Poolside Bar & Grill.
A memorabilia exhibit will feature items from Latin music artists including Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Jessi Uribe, Maluma, Maria Zardoya, Rosalia, Sergio Vallin and Tito Puente.
