MIAMI, FL – The Miccosukee Tribe is expanding its footprint and adding a new casino to its portfolio of enterprises. The latest addition to the tribe’s gaming operations will be located at the Miccosukee Service Plaza on I-75, Exit 49 and Snake Road in Ochopee, FL. Construction began with a groundbreaking ceremony at the Service Plaza. The Miccosukee Service Plaza Casino, slated to open in fall 2023, will feature 150 slot machines in a non-smoking environment with 8,500 sq. ft. of entertainment space.
The groundbreaking ceremony included presentations by the Miccosukee Tribal Business Council, casino executives, and construction partners. The project is part of a multi-million-dollar expansion of the Miccosukee Tribe’s operations.
