JACKSON, CA – Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort celebrated its 40th anniversary with a spirited “Back to Our Roots” bingo night, bringing together tribal leaders, valued employees, community members, and longtime supporters for an evening of entertainment, reflection, and philanthropy.

The celebration paid special tribute to the vision and legacy of the late Margaret Dalton, founder and former Chairperson of the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians.

Originally established as a small bingo hall in 1985, Jackson Rancheria has since grown into one of Northern California’s leading resort destinations, thanks in large part to Dalton’s leadership and commitment to community development.

“This evening is a special tribute to the strength of our tribe, the wisdom of our leaders, and the spirit of a community that has always stood together,” said Jackson Rancheria Chairperson Adam Dalton. “Forty years ago, we began as a small bingo hall with a handful of employees and a whole lot of determination. Through it all, we have stayed grounded in our culture and focused on building a better future for our tribe and community. We look forward to the next forty years and beyond.”

The evening also featured a charitable giving component, with bingo proceeds benefiting several local non-profit organizations – a true reflection of the tribe’s long-standing tradition of community giving. Over the course of the night, $15,000 was awarded to 10 deserving non-profits, including the Dennis Dalton Foundation, First 5 Amador, Amador County Senior Center, Tribal Assistance for Native Families, Amador Community College Foundation, Hospice of Amador, Victory Village, Amador County Sheriff’s Foundation, Operation Care, and Amador County Recreation Agency. These donations will help support vital services throughout the community, amplifying the impact of Jackson Rancheria’s 40th anniversary well beyond the casino floor.

“From the humble beginnings of a modest bingo hall to the thriving resort and economic force we are today, Jackson Rancheria’s story is one of perseverance, vision, and a deep connection to the community,” said Crystal Jack, CEO of Jackson Rancheria. “As we reflect on the past 40 years, we do so not just to honor our past, but to energize our future. We are proud of how far we have come and even more excited about the incredible opportunities on the horizon.”

Today, Jackson Rancheria features over 1,400 slot machines, a variety of table games, award-winning dining, a luxury RV park, and revitalized bingo hall.

As one of the largest employers in Amador County, Jackson Rancheria has nearly 800 employees – many of whom have been with the resort for decades.

The tribe remains dedicated to making long-term investments in people, public service, and local partnerships. Over the years, millions of dollars have been donated to schools, first responders, and non-profit organizations while year-round food drives, disaster relief, and charitable efforts continue to make a lasting difference.
