Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians Supports Holiday Toy Drive With $20,000 Donation

JACKSON, CA – The Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians will be supporting this year’s Matt Scott Racing/Amador County Sheriff’s Department holiday toy drive with a $20,000 donation to help families in need in Amador County.

“On behalf of the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians, it is an honor to have the ability to support this year’s holiday toy drive,” said Crystal Jack, CEO of Jackson Rancheria. “The tribe is committed to coming together to support the community and we are hopeful that this contribution will make the holiday season brighter for families in need. Please consider supporting this year’s toy drive if you are able to.”

The holiday toy drive will take place on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9am – 1pm in front of Foothill Appliance in the Amador Shopping Plaza. COVID-19 precautions will be in place. Individuals who wish to make donations can simply drive up with new, unwrapped toys and Santa’s helpers will collect the donations.

“We are so thankful for this generous donation and look forward to making this a memorable holiday for the children of our community,” said Mike Scott, Matt Scott Racing’s holiday toy drive coordinator. “If you are able to, please join us.”

For those who wish to make a monetary donation to support the purchasing of toys for this year’s distribution, checks can be made payable to the Amador County Community Foundation and dropped off to Kevin Barnett at The Mountain Merchant.
