WAYLAND, MI – Gun Lake Casino Resort (GLCR) has appointed Brian Decorah as SVP and General Manager, and Endea Smith as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Decorah has 30 years of experience in the gaming industry, first working for his tribe in Wisconsin, the Ho-Chunk Nation. He joins GLCR following the recent opening of the property’s luxury hotel and spa.

“The Gun Lake Tribe is thrilled with the addition of Brian Decorah as our new General Manager,” said Bob Peters, Tribal Chairman. “We know that Brian’s values, work ethic and experience will provide the leadership and direction needed at this exciting time of growth and opportunity at Gun Lake Casino Resort.”

Decorah was born and raised in a small community in Wisconsin where he learned the importance of teamwork. He says he is proud of his tribal heritage and will draw upon his teachings to help continue a culture of integrity and values to lead the 1,500 team members at GLCR.

Over the past 30 years, Decorah has worked at every level of casino management for several casino properties. He has led some of the top tribal casino resorts in the country as a General Manager and President/CEO including Pechanga Resort Casino, Snoqualmie Casino, and FireKeepers Casino Hotel.

Endea Smith, who also joins the executive team, is a seasoned HR leader with 28 years of experience in the casino industry, who has assumed the role of Chief Human Resources Officer, overseeing HR Operations at the casino, as well as tribal government.
