ROHNERT PARK, CA – Graton Resort & Casino awarded Fern Bar mixologist Tommy Cracraft top honors and a $5,000 cash prize at the Full Tilt Mixology Competition on Sept. 28.
The Prohibition-inspired competition brought together 10 North Bay bars and restaurants for timed cocktail challenges. Competing two at a time on stage, mixologists created original drinks using surprise mystery-box ingredients before a panel of industry and entertainment judges.
Cracraft, representing Fern Bar in Sebastopol, took first place and the $5,000 prize. Luma Bar & Eatery of Petaluma finished second, earning $3,000, while Waterhawk Bar of Rohnert Park placed third and received $2,000.
Attendees also sampled cocktails from all 10 participating bar stations and voted for a People’s Choice winner. Skylar Vanderent, Bronwyn Gauvin and Savannah Machon of Jackson’s Bar and Oven in Santa Rosa won for their “Apple Capone,” made with fresh apple juice, ginger liqueur, chai spice moonshine tincture and Ford’s Gin, finished with maple foam, toasted almond bitters and Maldon salt.
Following the competition, an after-party was held at the North Lawn and Pool Bar featuring a live DJ, pizza, giveaways and cocktail activations highlighting Negronis and Ford’s Gin & Tonic.
